This one isn't sexy...but it might just be a love story

Morgan stepped out of the small chamber and sighed, it had been a long night but she was home again in her own time. Her own lab. She let her fingers linger on the TARDIS sticker adorning the door as she closed it. Samuel had put it there years ago, before she got it working properly. It was fitting, Dr. Who was what inspired her to do the work to make pricise time travel possible. While the rest of humanity seemed focus on reaching the outer limits of space, she had been facinated by time. Everyone knew small jumps forward and back were possible but she was who figured out how to get exactly when and where you wanted to go and back again safely. Her theories, her machines. Now leased to the government for 500 years, in exchange for her own lab with staff, a large salary and final say on what they did with her tech. She knew that last part was probably a joke. As she turned she saw David, her android, approching with cold water a blanket from the warmer. She couldn't help but smile. David had been hers since she was 14 and she was probably too attached to him. A gift from her parents he was meant to be "company" for her. They were living on Io then, her parents were co-commanders of the first crew sent to terraform the small moon. The entire crew was 200 people and she, Sam and Amy were the only ones under 25. Their parents, knowing how teenagers are (and should be) had given each of them an anitomically correct droid to do with as they pleased. She still remembered Sam's delighted expression when he opened the box his droid, Scout, had come in "YOU GOT US SEX BOTS!!!" he yelled. In retrospect they should have been embarrassed by the gift - who wants a sex bot from mom and dad? But growing up the way they did sex wasn't a taboo subject. Still, their mother had replied "Well, yes but we hope you will use them as practice for actual human interaction. Remember, their AI is programmed to react to you like another human would. They will learn you, your likes and dislikes but their job is to help you learn how to handle real adult relationships." Since then David had played many roles in her life. Best friend, confidant, lab assistant and yes, on occasion adult toy. "You look unhappy, Morgan." David said simply. She shrugged, "Just tired Dave. How's the patient?" she asked nodding towards the doorway behind him. "His download hasn't finished." In response to her questioning look David continued "There was a problem with the first download, you didn't tell me about the state he was in -mind or body- or that he was addict so the first download...didn't take." Damnit she thought, she should have known everything about this man before bringing him here.
